ECRIN - ERIC - European Clinical Research Networks
The European Clinical Research Infrastructure Network (ECRIN-ERIC, www.ecrin.org) is a sustainable, not-for-profit, distributed infrastructure providing operational, coordinated services in the conduct of multinational clinical research projects in Europe. ECRIN-ERIC is based on the connection of national networks of clinical research centres and clinical trials units.
These infrastructures are composed of Clinical Trials Units (CTU) and/or Clinical Research Centres (CRC) located in the main national universities and hospitals. The staff working in these units are experienced and professional, and are used to working with investigators and are very familiar with the local and national research environment.
Jacques Demotes, MD, PhD, MBA
Director General of ECRIN-ERIC. Professor of cell biology, and clinical neurologist, he was the coordinator of four FP6 and FP7 funded projects. These projects supported the sustainable development of ECRIN as a pan-European infrastructure with “ERIC” status (awarded in 2013). He has participated in more than 10 FP6, FP7 and H2020 projects and also in IMI-funded projects.
